Ecological Society's Reforestation Campaign for Aquatera Protection May 2022

In May 2022, as part of the Ecological Society's Branch for Aquatera Protection, reforestation actions were carried out in the private forest in the locality of Plutonița, Doroteia commune, Suceava County. These activities took place in collaboration with students from Câmpulung Moldovenesc Forestry College and Doroteia Gymnasium School, as well as with the support of Priest Dănuț, parish priest from Doroteia commune. Over 6,000 seedlings of various species were planted during the Tree Planting Month campaign.

This annual campaign takes place in spring and includes afforestation work, forestry education activities, and logistical support from the National Forestry Administration - Romsilva. Students were provided with food, water, and appropriate transportation. They also received equipment and machinery for tree planting, and coordinating teachers offered instructions on work safety and forest fire prevention.

This initiative represents a valuable contribution to forest conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable development of the area.
